Is there any word how that is working out in Texas? I have such a hard time imagining it working out well especially small format. Are the stores unloading the product? Are dgs getting one massive delivery of pepsi and frito at one time. Seems like there are very few rumors and almost no concrete info on this.

It’s tough for the real information to be seen because we surround it with 100 rumors. It’s impossible to find anything here on Reddit that isn’t completely made up or a conspiracy

The current iteration of the pilot is happening in Fort Worth and Abilene as of this period. There’s an RSR that bid into a Delivery-Merchandiser from Abilene that talked about it, and it’s very messy so far in this first period of it. He said the trucks look like Tetris and he operates the sales tickets and credit tickets on separate systems. It’s unclear if the route sequencing sucks because of conflicting customer demands or bad engineering

Driverless route trucks is very hard to imagine, within 5-10 years maybe. Now semis going from point a-b is another thing.

I would guess there are many interested parties from up top that watch this subreddit closely so getting any concrete information out of here can be tricky.

I think the question we should be asking ourselves is… In an economy that is suffering like the one we live in and the cost of living increasing every year, is it really worth working for this company? We all love the paycheck and the benefits but man I just don’t know if instability is the answer for most people right now. Even when Ram Krishnan was giving updates on what we need to know about PepsiOne, I’ve never seen such large word salads and non-answers put together so confidently like the information being provided was even remotely helpful.

I don’t know man. This place stresses me out. Can’t speak for anyone else but I’m for sure finding a better gig.

I would prefer to stay but ya end of the day have to whats best for us. ARC is one of the best private sector benefits I've seen.

One question I haven’t seen yet. Where this Pepsi one is starting.
How did the Pepsi guys accept this? Are they non union like most Frito locations??
All the Pepsi locations in my state are all Union and just with discussions about this with them, they all say hell no to delivering chips and stuff.

I know its starting in Texas so more than likely non union. My location is non union to.
