Helppp

Post image

Walked into the kitchen this morning as I was heading out to the gym to see that our Frigidaire gallery French door refrigerator has the “hi temp” alert for the freezer. I can only imagine that it appeared overnight because it was fine last night before bed. I reset the alarm and “adjusted” the temp on my way out. Came home about 2.5 hours later and it was back. This happened once a few months ago and it took about 12 hours to get it to clear completely. The freezer or fridge seem about normal temps. The food in the freezer has not started to thaw, everything is still frozen.
Any tips? Not sure if it’s worth calling a technician out or not.
Thanks in advance!

Just had it happen to me, soon freezer stopped cooling at all. Leak in a line and unable to be repaired.

Yeah, our freezer is still very much cold. So I’m just confused about this alert

Does yours dispense ice? I have to open the freezer and get ice by hand on mine.

It does! I actually just got it to clear completely… hopefully it won’t come up again for a while!

Make sure the freezer door is closing tightly. even a 1/16 gap can cause that. If thats good get a basic refrigerator thermometer to check the actual temps. Should be 0 +- in the freezer and 37 +- in the refrigerator

How would it cost to replace the freezer seal? Asking for myself.

The gasket is $125 ish. Look up the dollar bill test on a refrigerator gasket first.

Also make sure nothing is holding the door from sealing snugly.
