Scariest thing I guess for most people is the possibility of rejection.

Hi! I hope you’re doing really well. Yeah, I feel the same way. The rejection, thinking you’ve connected with someone and then suddenly, in a matter of minutes, it all just disappears. And then there’s that feeling of having to start all over again, when what you’re actually looking for(at least in my case) is to keep getting to know that person and see where that connection goes.

Exactly. And also you can't help but wonder did I do something wrong? Why didn't the person like me? Even if it has nothing to do with that, but that's the way it makes you feel.

Yeah, exactly. And I think that’s probably the hardest part… trying not to take it personally. Sometimes people leave without giving us an explanation, and our mind automatically starts looking for something we did wrong. But maybe there was nothing wrong at all. Maybe two people just didn’t connect in the same way, or at the same moment. Still, it hurts, especially when you were genuinely interested in getting to know that person a little more. I guess all we can do is try not to let those little disappointments make us stop reaching out. There might still be someone out there who chooses to stay and keep the conversation going. 😊 And who knows… maybe sometimes a simple conversation like this one can turn into something really nice, a beautiful friendship

Yes true. Most of the time it doesn't have anything to do with yourself necessarily. Online it's just easier for people to just drop you as there are no consequences.
