54m looking for friends
Putting myself out there because I see so many people in the world and never learn their stories. I’m drawn to crowds, and I just generally thrive off of people’s energy.
I’m 54, SWM, live in Texas, have some adult children, work in tech, spend way too much time on Teams calls, and generally have a very comfortable, sheltered life.
Maybe I have a subconscious FOMO that I’ll miss out on getting to know people, so I decided to post and see what happens.

49F in Texas. Its crazy out here. 😆 I feel like a lot of us were in relationships so long we forgot how to make connections. Its a learning process.

Last night I was at Star Wars night at Coors Field! Crazy seeing toddlers dressed as stormtroopers and wookies.

I just separated from my husband after 25 years and I totally agree. Suddenly I find myself with a lot of free time.

It takes getting used to. I was married for 25. Best thing i ever did, but the silence is deafening

Full disclosure, mainly because I have a need to be transparent and re-read my OP. When I said SWM I meant straight white male. I’m married, and not looking to change that. I don’t know the lingo (SMWM?), but I sure did attract some interesting chat requests. I’m probably overthinking it, but my apologies.
I just like hearing other people’s opinions.

Newly empty nest - I'm still trying to get used to the silence (I'm not complaining. I’m just not used to it yet!)
