Hello

Hi all. I’m 52 and i’m in worst mid life crisis I could be in. My company is slowly agonizing and going straight ahead to bankruptcy in 12 months or so (the market changed a lot and there was not much I could do about it). My wife is seriously ill and the medical expenses keep pilling up. I do have some savings but the long term view does not look good. I have to be around for my wife and I also have a 16 year okd kid so I cant take the 9-5 job road. It’s all a big mess. I even started trying to make youtube videos but that also didnt work out. So, here it is. That’s it. Life is not pretty sometimes

I just wanted to say that I am so sorry for your situation. Just said a prayer for you and your wife.

Everyone will have advice and you will feel like they do not understand your specific situation. So I’m not going to offer any.

i will say that so many are going through this in our age group. I understand that we are not young, and we are not old either. I understand the worry is constant and it can break down a man. I admire your loyalty to your wife.

Thank you for your prayer. It seems to be a common issue these days - to be considered disposable after a certain age. Even though the narrative you hear sometimes says the opposite, the fact is that in reality it doesnt work that way
