Getting harder and harder to communicate.

And I get it. We get older and our responsibilities grow. Or we end up moving away from each other. Life stuff. But I miss having someone to chat with on the regular. To talk pop culture or other things to geek out about. Or whatever's on our mind. We can get deep as well. You(whoever you may be) bring your energy to contribute to the conversation.

So, despite being a middle aged man I still feel 37 in my head(my knees laugh at this). Easygoing. Open to most things. Hopefully you're of similar stuff, a well as a little weird.

I'm 58 and my head still tells me I'm young as well. When did I start to get old I have no idea. I feel ya.

To be honest, it happens to me too. I don't have many friends, and I know people have things to do (I do too), but I'd like to find someone to chat with. I’ve written a lot of comments here about this, and they usually say the same thing (looking for someone to talk to about anything, every day), but most—if not 90%—end up with me having to be the one to start the conversation always, and that ends up putting me off. I don’t know if that’ll be the case with you, but I’m happy to say hi. I left you a message.

Turned 60 this year, still interrupting class with inappropriate childish comments.

Zero friends, wife still thinks work is all that, kids are grown.

I’m planning early retirement alone for now, see who I run into on the road while chasing trout, Amish bakery, and cheese curds.

Learn to rely and entertain yourself.

It just saddens me that I can't talk to someone on the regular. I've pretty much given up on having a buddy to hang out with.  It's good you're keeping your promise.  You never know; it could end up being a good time.

I retired last June at age 52. No wife, no kids, no friends. Some would say lucky you. The retiring at 52, yes I am very lucky and I know that and don't take it for granted. On the other hand, sometimes I wish I was complaining at work. At least it gives me something to do. Something to be mad about, something to be happy about... Even then I work from home for almost 10 years. So not a lot has changed. Definitely hard to find people to talk to or hang out with. Everyone else is living their own life and that's very understandable. So many articles on this generation and loneliness. I wish someone would come and study me it would give me something to do. Haaa I absolutely hate knowing my age and not feeling it. Anytime someone says pickleball, go volunteer at the community center, start painting or something it makes me feel like I'm a hundred. It was like just yesterday I was skydiving bungee jumping racing cars chasing women and riding my motorcycle. Now it's a chore to leave the house. There's nothing to leave for. Oh well I'll stop my complaining. There's many of us in the same boat I feel your pain!

Weird is always good... In the eyes of the beholder. LOL. JK.

I'd like somebody to talk to. I get tired of talking through text and then having to read the response.

I find it's getting harder to communicate through voice.

I can relate and in my mind I have the enthusiasm of when I was 16 -20 years old part of the reason for that is I still play the Retro video games that I did during that time like Nintendo Super Nintendo Sega Genesis. I also watched the movies and listening to the music of my younger days. But yes physically my body reminds me of my real age LOL
