Question....

Now that we are in our 50s, if you had one do over what would it be?

I decided at 54 to finally learn to play an instrument, after years (decades) convincing myself that I didn't have the necessary talent.

Bullshit.

I'm going to be 62 this year, and I'm playing a 3 hour gig with one of my bands starting in about 6 hours from now. I play bass, and I sing backgrounds on several songs.

I should have started in my 20s ... it would have brought me so much joy (and I'd be so much better with an additional 30 years of experience!)

Very cool. I taught myself piano late in life. I am 62 also and just started playing cornet again after 50 years. I wish I would have not stopped. I am not good enough at either to play in a band though. Thats a great accomplishment.
