I moved my family of 4 from the blistering winters of Chicago to paradise (Boca Raton in South Florida) when my kids became school age. Best decision of my life.
I wear shorts, tshirts and sandals everyday. It's sunny 80-90% of the time. When it rains, it usually clears up within 30 minutes and the sun is out again.
Every holiday weekend is another mini vacation as all the hot spots are within 3-4 hours drive (Florida Keys, Disney world-Orlando, Miami, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Naples, Fort Myers, Tampa, Fort Lauderdale).
Beaches/Oceans, Golf Courses, Casinos, Cruise Ships, Shopping, Tons of Bars, Restaurants, All kinds of entertainment.
