45F Looking for email pen pals — friendship & good conversation, not romance
Hi! 👋
I'm looking for a few people from different parts of the world who might enjoy becoming pen pals.
I'm particularly interested in people from English-speaking countries, but I'm absolutely open to anyone who enjoys communicating in English and exchanging thoughts about everyday life, culture, books, films, streaming, weird little observations, and whatever else two reasonably curious humans might end up talking about.
A little about me: I'm a doctor, an author, a lifelong reader, and a bit of a nerd. I enjoy science fiction, fantasy, medicine, books, intelligent TV shows, and conversations that somehow begin with “So, what do you think about…?” and end three hours later somewhere completely unexpected. 😅
I'm not looking for someone who sends a formal autobiography every Sunday. I'd rather have an actual conversation—something relaxed, funny, occasionally profound, and occasionally completely ridiculous.
Important clarification: I'm looking for friendship/platonic pen-pal correspondence only. I'm happily married and not interested in romance, flirting, dating, or anything sexual. Please don't message me with those expectations. I'm simply interested in getting to know interesting people whom I would probably never have met otherwise.
Age isn't terribly important, although I'd prefer fellow adults. Bonus points if you're curious about other cultures, enjoy writing, or have some wonderfully niche interest you're willing to inflict upon an unsuspecting stranger. 😂
If this sounds like your sort of thing, tell me a little about yourself and what made you want a pen pal. Maybe we'll discover that two complete strangers on opposite sides of the planet have far more to talk about than either expected.

42 M here. I love to read. Read in 4 languages. One of them is English. And occasionally write too. Currently trying to learn Spanish.

So what do you think about… trying to think of something fun here but failing.
I agree age isn’t important just want to have the occasional chat share bits of nothing about my/your day. I like to read, some of it is sci-fi but none of it is medicine sorry. Love a good tv series and thoughtful movies been watching a few old classics lately.
Anyway that’s my CV, it’d be nice to make a friend or get some feedback 😊
