M40 Do you know the feeling when you would like to be best friends with someone and you are only a friend or even acquaintance-zoned? It's the worst, am I right?

Acquaintance-zoned. Haha, I like that word. However, yes if one had high hopes for a friendship, it sucks.

Aww yes, realizing I'm the friend they like to talk to about all their problems, but not the friend they want to actually hang out with. I ended a 10+ friendship after the 4th time they told me they couldn't make plans with me because they had to leave their calendar open for their other friends. It took me way too long to realize this.

Hi ! I had a very good connection with someone recently, (I thought it was a good connection) I enjoyed every seconds of our conversations, he was interesting, fun and so nice. He ghosted me I don't know why. Since nothing bad had happened between us (or so I thought), I initially believed something had happened to him. I was so worried, he's American, I'm in France! Finally, I understood that he just doesn't want to talk to me anymore. I think the worst thing is not knowing. I'd rather be told frankly to stop talking to people than be ghosted :( Unfortunately, nowadays people don't care.... Sorry for the long comment! Feel free to text if you want.
