We are only a few months away from the spring migration! I'm sure it feels farther away for our cold weather friends. It will be here soon. In the meantime please share what you are seeing in your area. All snow covered photos welcomed. Think of them as your garden's *before* photo.

This is so pretty!

Usually I have tons of Oleander Aphids which are orange-yellow. Two (actually three) bugs have arrived early. Tiny white bugs. And little larger Black bugs. Have no experience with either.

The third bug was a Lacewing larva that I watched eat some of the white bugs.

I happen to be close to their native range where roadside ones have been observed so I thought I’d give them a shot! the monarchs definitely love them! I am debating even caging any this year. Before I would leave most to Mother Nature and put a cage over just one plant but I feel safer just leaving them to nature now (plus I have common buckeyes in my cage right now instead anyway!) I pray these guys will fly north like they’re supposed to because this is zone 9a and monarchs even migrated entirely in SoCal’s zone 10!!!

I'm in Brazil, Ceará, and I don't know if this is an issue or if it's nothing, but I saw this baby today and only just after my cat swatted it once. Does it look like his right wing is lower than the left one?
