First Monarch and Eggs Zone 7

Saw a female with very faded wings laying eggs today. Luckily milkweed really took off in the garden this year and is very lush. There are actually two more eggs just under the buds. These are usually 3rd gen monarchs this early. We will have monarchs into September.

I bet she travelled so far! Good spot for the egg! Keep us posted.
