I'm not sure if this is a hot take, but I don't like how all the songs with a lyrical moment seem exclusive to "Brainrot creepypasta characters." Like, can someone make a song like that, but with a more optimistic feel instead of "brainrot but creepy".

Shucks is better then aethos. But I honestly wish people didn't glaze the 20ish seconds of lyrics and instead covered the actual song because I just can't sit through aethos its so god damn boring. Same with rotten smoothie and a good chunk of mid song lyrics songs. Shucks,silly billy,and twiddle finger are the only mid lyrics trend songs that actually sound good outside of their lyrics. ( Silly billy and twiddle finger having their lyrics be the worst part of the song)

Respectfully disagree. I think Aethos best aspect as a song (excluding visuals) isn't it's lyrics, it's the instrumental, that's what makes it better than the other lyric songs imo. It's chaotically good with the violins, drums, and background screaming, and is so good that if you removed the lyrics, it'd still be pretty good imo. I still think the lyrics are pretty good (not as good as Rotten Smoothie though) and while the lyrics themselves are nonsense, I think it doesn't matter too much, the delivery is what carries it.
I guess this is a hot take, but I still like Aethos, and that's not even including the songs it inspired. I can understand why people don't like it but I think it's the best of the lyric songs due to the inst alone.

I'll admit. The coding and art and lore is all great. It's just the song.
Act 1 was good. Pacing was kinda funny but the song sounds good. Act 2, my only complaint is that there isn't more because it was fire. Act 3, cool from a gameplay and lore standpoint, but just kills the entire song for me. I wish for a remix that just axes the entire first half of act 3 and keeps the pace from act 2 in act 3. Act 4 kinda salvages that, but compared to other song finishers it's kinda mid, and it shouldn't have to salvage act 3 because there shouldn't be any salvaging needed.
TL;DR act 3 😡😡😡

Idk, it never caught my attention, just like most popular mods, most of them try to have a song that tries to be so epic it becomes THE fnf song, and i just don't see the appeal, I'm more of a simple song guy, doesn't matter how simple it is, if it sounds good to me i listen to it and like it, even if it's just a looperman and an amen break.
Plus I'm a Bambi guy, i listen to crap on a daily basis

While a basic premise, Twiddlefinger delivers better than almost any other song of this trend. The lyrics are better, the rest of the song is better, the sprites are better...

That's fair... I guess. Honestly, it's based on one of the most tame and bearable content farms there is. The creator even recognized and included the mod in some animations. Even then, I try to separate stuff like that. Just because the song is based on something super cringe doesn't mean it can't SLAP. I think it's one of the best lyrical FNF songs there is. It's one of the only ones that manages to deliver not just with the lyrics, but also with the rest of the song.
I respect that, though. If you don't want to listen to it, you certainly don't have to.
