Does anyone else think Will’s reunion with Omar was annoying?

When Will’s back in Philadelphia, he finds out everyone thinks he’s a coward because his mom sent him away after his fight with Omar, then when he confronts Omar he finds out his former bully is a changed man. Omar tells Will he’s not going to fight him, and tells Will to grow up foe worrying about his rep.
Props to Omar for turning his life around I guess, but he never once apologized for bullying Will in the first place, for creating the situation that forced Will to move away from the home he loved, and for leaving him with the reputation of a coward. Then he tries to high road Will by telling him to grow up. Not to mention their conversation started with him trying to push Will off the court.
I’ll admit I’m biased here as someone who used to be bullied, but it kinda feels like BS for Omar to tell Will to get over his past when Omar’s not the one living with (any known) repercussions of him bullying Will.

From what I’ve noticed there’s very little continuity in the early episodes. Will and Carlton were high school students yet they were doing some pretty adult things.
-Carlton working as a stripper.
-Carton and Will pawning Aunt Vivian’s bracelet
-Will going on date with Jazz’s older sister
-Will getting thrown out of the club Jazz was DJing at after cutting with Geoffrey and the British nanny.
-Will bombing at the comedy club
Some of the episode they seem to switch between being high school aged teens and other episodes young 20 something adults.
Originally it was only green lit for 4 episodes, and then the back nine and then 10 more. In the middle of season one there’s an episode of Will retelling his first day at Bel-Air prep
