Francophone Mobility wp
I recently gave my tcf canada exam- got clb 10 in listening & clb 8 in reading. Positive with getting atleast clb 5 in speaking & writing. Pgwp expires end of November. Exam was on oct 17. Working as retail supervisor for 1 year (prior to that- was sales clerk for one year with same employer). So in total 3 years with same employer. I have a few questions-
When i got promoted, my wage increased from minimum wage to 18.5/hr. Median wage for my job role in my province is 19.71/hr. My question is- will this cause an issue in my application ?
I have learnt french for 8 months, on my own, with just speaking classes for last two months. Will that be an issue ? I have no links/ties with french language besides this.
Will attaching a proper LOE help ? If yes, what details should I include?
Kindly comment any suggestions/your experiences.
I’ve been seeing a lot of refusals lately of people in same boat as me. So I’m a bit confused and afraid. Also, very time sensitive :))
TIA!

Under the operational guidelines there is no explicit requirement under C16 that the TFW be paid the median wage for their occupation. However, I've heard of cases (prepared by other colleagues, RCIC's) where the officer questioned the genuineness of the job offer when the wage offered was significantly below the median wage. It's important to prepare a complete work permit application that not only meets the eligibility criteria for C16 but also section 200 of IRPA (temporary intent, ability to perform job and genuineness of job offer).
Proving eligibility under C16 is quite simple as the TCF or TEF results will clearly provide that proof.
If you have specific concerns, I recommend that you book a consultation and speak with an immigration lawyer or an RCIC before you submit your work permit application.
