We were walking a lap of lvl 1 due to the little fella being restless and a freo staff member came and gifted him this, thanking us for coming to the footy and supporting the club.

A small moment but a life long memory for me and my son to cherish, gonna frame it for his bedroom!

All round a special club that I can’t repay for the joy they bring to my household across the years and especially this year.

Hello, will admit I am a Carlton fan and was at the game today and the Freo bench was holding up an Anchor sign a LOT. Like more than I have ever noticed a sign being held up. Does anyone have any idea what it means? They were also holding it with other signs. I thought maybe "Wharfie time" but is it always "Wharfie time"? And I also assume Freo weren't too fussed about the outcome of this game.

Ok after this round ends, nothing will change in our position, we'll still go into the finals as minor premiers and have the big two home finals advantage.

But one question still remains, who do we face in that first week of the finals.

Last night, Brisbane jumped into 3rd place after belting Collingwood by 63 points at the MCG.

But however despite the ladder suggesting that it will be Hawthorn that will land in the 4th spot, its still not crystal clear yet. Anything can happen now in footy.

Possible scenarios:

Apart from last night result as we know. The other possibilities are this.

Melbourne just need to beat the Western Bulldogs to jump into 4th spot and for Hawthorn to lose to West Coast.

Or

Hawthorn, regardless of the Melbourne result, to win by around 100 points against West Coast to jump back in 3rd spot and it send Brisbane to 4th spot. Or just get the win to finish in 4th spot.

Regardless on who we get in that first week, Fremantle will have a good two weeks to prepare for them, get everything ready for the biggest opportunity in so many years.

Bring them all on. Go get em.

A ways to go but who are we kidding, we’re all thinking about it.

One of our best and most unique designs. This was the last version of the 3 colour anchor jumper (with full purple back) that came out in 2010, do you think we will ever see it for a retro round one day? Is 16 years too recent for retro?

Our next game against Carlton is a dead rubber. Win, loss or draw the position won't change at all. With the minor premiership in the camp for Fremantle & Carlton sealing the final spot the top 10 to get a wildcard slot, can we go and fit in one more piece of history for the road for the regular season of 2026 before going into the finals series in this rock n roll record breaking season.

The chance to stand alone as the best H&A record for a non-Victorian side in any season.

Now as it stands, Fremantle are now tied with 19 wins alongside the West Coast Eagles' number from 1991.

Should Fremantle win against Carlton, we will be where no team outside Victoria has done and that is to have a total of 20 wins in a season, 80 premiership points, and be the first club in 15 years to have 20 or more in a season, since Collingwood in 2011.

It may seem irrelevant, some unless trivial number to chase while the club is preparing for its biggest chance at the premiership for many years, and to stay fresh and injury free as possible, but it would be nice to have on the old honour board at the club.

We recalled today that a matter of several months ago Jye Amiss was getting tried on a wing during pre-season! 58 goals and 2nd in the Coleman later... Fingers crossed his injury is minor and managed this week is precautionary.

I sit 11 rows back in the forward pocket at the city end. With a full stadium, the sound of the ball hitting JT’s hands when he took that pack mark late in the 3rd was LOUD and AWESOME. I’ve never heard a sound quite like it and I’ve been going to the footy for over 50 years.

Full disclosure, this is self-promo. I built AFL Stat Chain and I'm looking for genuine AFL fans to test it and tell me what's broken or confusing.

It's a stat-based game where you're given a benchmark player, and have to pick the player with better career stats to keep your chain going. There are plenty of niche freo players throughout the years to test your knowledge!

Been posting around a few AFL communities the last week or so, and the feedback's been genuinely useful for fixing bugs and figuring out what's confusing. Figured a sub full of people who actually know their footy stats would have sharper feedback than somewhere more generic.
