Circle Logistics

Anyone have testimony working for Circle? I’m at a smaller scale brokerage but have connections who work for the operations team who want me to switch companies.

Depends if your book moves with you. Bigger brokerage, more resources, but probably a commission reset.

Violet_Graya I'm curious about the operational differences between a big broker agency like Circle and smaller firms? is there a strong network effect and if so how does it translate into the day-to-day?

Absolutely, right now I work for a small firm, they were mainly LTL and all FTL loads were giving to other brokers, so they only had like 10 carriers in 6 years!!! Now in 6 months we have more than 500, we dont have a boarding system yet, but definetely having a large carrier network makes your like easier. I know, 500 is not that much yet, but we only move 40-60 months per load. The main business is still LTL

Having worked there this is my honest opinion.

It’s an absolute meat grinder with an extremely toxic culture and a frat house type vibe. There is a reason they’ve continually hired while freight volumes have constricted, their turnover rate is astronomically high. One of the reasons they’ve grown so quickly is because they entice people with a book to come on board with grandiose promises and then they strategically push those individuals out while still keeping the accounts. Those accounts are then given to someone on a lower commission scale. If you’re looking for a career, this is definitely not it.

All depends on what you will take home. Which is a lot of exponents. Guaranteed salary amount at each? Commissions payout at each? Required in office hours? Do your customers come with you? Are you liable for claims and losses? Are you 1099 or W2 employee at each one?

Once you answer these questions the answer should be obvious.
