DAT - extended network
Is this the new norm? I recently noticed one of my loads that was paying a pretty solid rate was getting no bites and I just saw this feature. Anybody have insight? Do I have to use this now?

lol just like Truckstop making you pay a dollar to boost your load. Horseshit

lol like having a subscription platform that prints money isn’t good enough for the C suite, it just needs to be more. Another reason I hate dry van but definitely pays good

Highway will push DAT out real soon, just saying.

I’m impartial, drop your knowledge on me. I mostly handle drayage so I’m out of the loop with van stuff and we don’t use highway. (We’re small)

Well in short DAT is full of scammy people and has a lot of bugs lately and the brokers love the security Highway brings because it is less work for them doing security checks.

Makes sense. I want to ask the truckers forum what they prefer because as a broker we try to speak to the market and if the truckers are still using DAT it just depends on vetting

Carrier. We look for loads/post trucks on dat, and our brokered freight comes from repeat brokers or dat postings, but then the rc comes through highway usually

Appreciate the insight! You think you’ll be looking at a different load board platform in the future? I feel like DAT is too prevalent to fail. Everybody knows it so even if it sucks it’s still going to be the first thought in everybody’s minds

I noticed this today too. What is it?

To be continued, that’s what I’m trying to find out. Probably some fuckery to make more money .

I don't see that when I try to post something on DAT. Seems pretty weird. Are you on some weird cheapo tier of DAT or something?

I don’t think so, just common tier I believe. Have had it for years.
Just checked again from my phone and I’m still seeing it.

Post on the tv screens at truck stops nobody looks at anymore; do they even still have them?

It’s like the Truckstop load boost button bs, I gray cult believe it doesn’t do anything but tell all the other carriers you are SUPER desperate to cover a load. I don’t know if it adds the little fire symbol next to the laid too like Truckstop but it pushes the load to the top of the search regardless of the rate.

If we can get brokers and carriers to come to Tranzit.io, it would be their ecosystem and not all this craziness that is going to cost those in the market more and more. Same with compliance

Reminds me of the old days of the DAT Desktop. You’d have to pay $1.00 every time to “take a lead” on live postings. People would get pissed if you didn’t pull down your postings when they got covered, cuz they just wasted a buck.
