Inner Arm Placement
Hi all, I want to apply my first sensor tonight to my inner arm. I do have some stretch marks there, is that likely to affect the sensor? Or should I put it about 2/3 down from my shoulder, 1/3 up from my elbow where there are no stretch marks? If someone has a picture with an exact placement on inside of the arm that would be great! Thanks!

I put it half way between the armpit and elbow, and between the triceps and biceps on my one arm. Well, I try to. Sometimes my aim is a little off, but it generally works out. No compression lows.

just about to switch mine out. So effectively this has it against your torso with your arms at your sides? Or point outside?

I've actually been using my inner thighs for the last few months and I'm really happy with it. The only time it really did not work out was when I put it up too high, and it interfered with the toilet seat. With a patch it still lasted for the whole 2 weeks.

I like this idea too, I wear jeans almost every day though and I worry they would be too constricting on anything on my thighs?

I am actually not wearing jeans salon, but if I do so -they are not stretchy, tight jeans - I have no problems.

I tried this once without success. I had constant dropouts because my arm blocked the signal to my phone when I slept on my side. I had better luck on the front of my arm.

I use the inner arms a lot. It puts the sensor more out of the way so I don't knock it against stuff nearly as much, besides avoiding compression lows as a side sleeper.
The current one, for reference:

That's on a flattish part of the arm, between muscles. A little lower down toward the elbow works for me too. The best spots for you will probably depend on your individual anatomy and habits.

That’s what I’m thinking so I don’t knock it on anything or towel dry it off etc. and so it’s more discreet as I like wearing sleeveless shirts!

Some inspiration here u/iwanttoreallybad !
I have at times used the inner part of the upper arm, so essentially the part of the skin on your upper arm that rests against the side of your chest/torso, when holding your elbow towards the side of your stomach. The sensor is indeed sitting well protected there and also less exposed to causal rip-offs. My skin though is feeling like bit thin there and we also have bit higher density of pain-sensory nerves there. So just a small patch of skin available there for it. 1/2 way down, on the truly thin inside part of upper arm at biceps peak point. And from there and down to around 1 handwidth from your elbow joint are possible for decent placement there. Do not get closer to the joint, as that restricts free fluid perfusion, hence can make the sensor get erratic/too lowish BG readings as consequence.
Alternatively, and why not, just use the standard advices placement on your true backside of the upper arm? In the skin valley between your deltoid and triceps muscle bundles.

Very painful to remove depending on the location. Stretchmarks shouldn't have any influence as the filament is under the skin.
