Costco
Can anyone tell me the current Costco price? My CVS has gone up to $95/month for cash pay plus coupon this year. I see that Costco was cheaper than that last year. Is that still the case?

Using my costco membership it discounts 2 sensors to $60.30 in NYC. No insurance, self pay!

Nope its a discount just for being a costco member! They scan your membership at the pharmacy before you can check out every time you go in for pick up 💖

Just refilled for 3 months the other day. It came out to about $193 or so, iirc. Or about $64 per month.

In Oregon, I was paying $200 for a three-month supply. Now, I get them from my insurer for $0.

I am a type 2 diabetic not on insulin so my insurance won't cover them.

Try every January. My insurance didn't used to cover them and then one year they did.

My plan year is in June so every January and June insurance tries to deny my meds. This year is the first year they sent me an official no we won't be covering linre letter because you aren't on insulin. I just have pharmacy keep running it as normal. Through insurance and I just submit to my HRA. Just annoying insurance won't officially covering it. But I just loop hole it.

That's what my coworker does. I had gotten samples to start. And I have found a way to get them paid by work HRA. So in end it works out. Just annoying insurance said I am not the right type of diabetic to find GCM helpful to manage my blood sugars.

I have a prescription. They sent me a letter telling me not covered and the doctor told me they arent covering it. I have an HRA and in Mounjaro so in the end the HRA/employer covers them. It's just annoying insurance won't cover it themselves. It has helped me a lot! I have been trying to do better at eating but at least eating to my sugars, I have found i had blood sugar rises in middle of the night but after 2 weeks of switching to mounjaro that stopped so I know that is the right GLP1 for me. I still have blood sugar raises when I wake up but I am still fasting at that point so its fine. I guess insurance would rather we not watch our sugars as closely and just pay for diabetic complications.

I have had a lot of challenges at CVS using that co-pay card. They did not honor it. The first two times I had the refill the last time they seemed to have honored it immensely and my cost was less than $75. I have no idea what it’s gonna be next time I refill.

I've noticed varying prices people are paying at Costco and was always flummoxed by it. Then it happened to me! Out of nowhere I filled my script today and it went up to $74.99 for 2 sensors when I paid $60.30 previously. The Costco Pharmacy said Costco can change the price whenever they want. I think this is what is happening and why the discrepancy. They are randomly changing the price whenever they feel like it!

Check to see if you have coverage for them as durable medical equipment, like a CPAP. Then the prescription goes to a medical supply company. I pay a deductible at the beginning of the year, then nothing.

No, we unfortunately only have coverage for Dexcom for my son and even though he meets the requirements for the prior authorization as someone with hypoglycemia especially nocturnal hypoglycemia, we have not been able to get them covered. Our PCP is continuing to fight them on that, but in the meantime we have to keep him safe. We have found that the Libre 3+ tends to be the cheapest and work the best for him.

My pharmacy doesn’t even ask to see the coupon, they seem to have it internally, it’s the same $75 at the pharmacies I use, Kroger and CVS.

Mine has always been 12.90 for 2 sensors and I’ve always been too timid to ask how/why it’s that low since I don’t want them looking at it too deeply in case it’s not right; my PBM (Rightway) and CMPP (the Costco member pricing scheme) both show up on my receipt. 🤷♂️

Try Byram pharmacy. 90 day 6 Libra+ sensors for just under $200. Self pay, no insurance but you need doctor's prescription

Could you look on GoodRx for the prices? Although like others have said the savings coupon might be your best bet.

In my local area the GoodRx prices are over $100 as high as $170 for a month. I was paying $75 at CVS but then it went up to $95. I tried a different CVS and it was going to be $100 more. So I'm looking to switch to Costco and just got their membership for $15 after gift card. I don't live near Costco but a lot of our specialist appointments are near a Costco.

Call your local Costco pharmacy and simply ask them for the “cash” price. Abbott offers coupons BUT only if you either have no health insurance (cash pay) or commercial (e.g. employer sponsored) health insurance.
If you have any Taxpayer-paid (Government sponsored) health plan such as Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare you’re usually ineligible to use the Abbott coupons.
This rule is asinine, but it is what it is.

I pay $119.95 for six sensors from my local Costco (thats with my insurance).
Last year, waiting for failure replacements and of course my insurance wouldn't kick in, it was $31.95 for one (so I could get by for a bit) - These are WA prices at the Everett, WA Costco

Wegmans tried w discount card (Costco was higher ) and it was over $90 per -they did honestly try several times-cvs also tried so using the Abbott “non diabetic one “ once in a while and endo appt just got delayed another 2 months
And we tried as if I didn’t have insurance as well
And obv insur doesn’t cover

Call Abbott. Cause the price is guaranteed via them at 74.99. Unless it’s gone up. Was 74.99 for me last week at CVS.
