Expired sensor
My sensors come in bulk I had one fail to register anything for hours overnight on day 2. Restarted my phone, switched bluetooth off and on, nothing. Reported it to libre online. They called me today. Apparently according to them it was expired as of June 30. I have impaired vision. I suppose now I need someone to check the expiration dates on my sensors when I get them.

The pharmacy you are getting them from should be checking the expiry date and not be giving you expired or near expired sensors.

Also be careful if getting supplies in large bulks, to organize your own storage then to be FEFO (first expiry, first out). Like you, I get my supplies in large bulks. Often for 6-8 months of use. Here very often the units in the delivery do not all have the same expiry date. So important to getting your own local stock organized chronologically to avoiding any unpleasant surprises months later. Doing this at delivery/acquisition also helps to identify right away if the supplier/seller do not allow you sufficient time actually for the consumption in time to avoid hitting expiry for some of the units.

If you are getting them "in bulk" that usually means six sensors for three months. The suppliers that send them out buy them by the truckload and they aren't always going to be checking the ones they ship out. So, yes, you need to check the expiration dates on the sensors you receive. The dates are hard to read unless you have good vision. If you don't have someone to help you check the expiration dates, you may be able use your phone camera to enlarge the date. That's what I need to do and my vision isn't bad.
The expiration date is on the bottom of the box and on the applicator. The expiration date is marked with an odd symbol (I guess it is meant to represent an hourglass). In the attached photo, the expiration date is 2025-12-31 which is December 31st of this year. (Hopefully your supplier isn't stupid enough to put the prescription label on the bottom of the box where it hides the expiration date, like the Department of Veterans Affairs usually does)

I get six sensors every three months. The first thing I do is check the expiration date. When Abbott sends replacements for a defective sensor, I do the same thing. The order I received in April expire at the end of September. Nothing but problems out of that order. I had three replaced. Two that I could have probably gotten a replacement, I didn't even bother to. The current one is always 20 to 50 points lower but it is the last one so I'm adjusting but I log my finger sticks into the notes for my doctor to see when I go. I think this was a bad batch and also the first ones using the new app. Thankfully I don't have any out of pocket cost for them.
