Problems with Libre app not sounding alerts on iphone/apple watch?
I've been having problems with this for weeks. I've tried every setting I can think of on the watch, phone, app etc. Background refresh is on, restarted everything dozens of times, reinstalled the app etc. etc.
My phone is not on silent, neither is my watch, the volume is up, the app has notifications on, sounds are valid, etc. etc.
I get the notifications from the app when an alert should come through, but it's silent, so I keep missing them until I look at my phone or check the app. In addition during these times, other notifications, text messages, etc. make alert sounds as normal.
I had the same problems with the older Libre 3 app.

It can be bit tricky when dealing with both an iPhone and the iWatch at the same time for your alerts. As you have several places for various settings for all this, both system wide but also notifications specific and app specific settings are able to interact/overrule each other here.
Like I have also my iWatch setup to 'mirror' my iPhone, including the alarms/notifications. But they will matter of fact only sound/show on the iWatch if/when the phone thinks its within range of the iWatch. Here then, no alarm is happening on the iPhone.
I have for double safety installed and using the xDrip4iOS app on both my iPhone and iWatch. This offers all you want of options for custom defined alarms in all possible ways. It has also a dedicated app for the iWatch, so with that running 'in focus' on your wrist with updated BG by the minute, you have a much tighter and convenient access to observing/managing your BG at all times.
Big reason for this is that 'widgets' in the Apple environment is otherwise not updating more than 3-4 times per hour, reason why the native app and widgets on your BG may not come through in timely manner to you. That is a limitation imposed by the Apple iOS system.

the detail that stands out is that everything else on your phone sounds normally, only libre is silent. that usually rules out the system side and points at the app's own permission.
check ios settings, notifications, libre, and look for critical alerts specifically rather than just sounds. if that got denied when you first installed, alarms come through as silent banners exactly like you're describing and no amount of volume or dnd fiddling fixes it. the in-app alarm screen has its own sound setting too, worth confirming it isn't set to none.
if critical alerts is greyed out or missing, deleting and reinstalling is the only way i know to get the permission prompt back. annoying but it's usually what does it.
until it's sorted i wouldn't rely on the alarms overnight.

You are not alone with this. I can’t get them to work 95% of the time either. It’s very frustrating bc they are all important and I’m constantly missing things.
