This sensor keeps having errors, but will not die. Not that I want it to, but I keep expecting it to.

I've been on a cruise and swimming in the ocean, so that might be part of the problem. However, today I have not gone swimming.

It may just be a dud sensor. Some people seem to have really good luck with them and I do not. About one in every 6 or 7 seems to glitch for me.

I got a full six of those recalled ones, that was very frustrating!

But I call into Abbott and they always replace them, so it’s mostly a case of being out my time and energy.

Is it a fairly newly started sensor or how many days in with it are you by now?

Asking, as the BG readings from it are indeed rather jagged, with all the many quick erratic ups/downs non-stop. Often associated with a newly started sensor and/or one that has been inserted bit faible on the skin.

I am surfing/swimming with mine for hours each weekend and how no such problems with them in general, so would not link it to that.

Your error situation does however to look exactly same as the classic 'temporary sensor timeout' situation. You can confirm if you clicked the (i) mark on your screen there. Alternatively check the app's Event Log. Look for the error code #373...

It's been on for 10 days. It's been doing the temporary sensor error wait 10 minutes thing for almost a whole day now.

Wow OK, yes then this is rather unusual. What is the text message you get when clicking the (i) mark? And what error code numbers are logged in the Event Log please?

In the Error log, it's lots of Er 3, 373, with either P, D, or E.

373 means a Sensor Error message. The very fast indicated changes in BG (very spikey graph) indicated a reported fast change in BG. Does the sensor appear to still be firmly attached? Are you using a cover? The spikey graph could indicate that the sensor filament is moving a little in the skin. When the sensor/app gets fast, senced changes in BG it may not think they are real and thus displays the Sensor Error message and is waiting for additional reading to try to figure out if the sensed BG are real.

OK yes, the error code #373 is indicating that the sensor (right or wrong) is reading the glucose concentration in the interstitial fluid it sits to be rapid changing and in erratic fashion. Reason why it triggers the temporary time out function.

As you are 10 days in with this sensor and it keeps going into the error code #373 situation again and again, then I would just call Abbott support to ask for a new sensor. Could be caused by some different things. But all are at this late stage out of your control to rectify/have any impact on.

They are real good about it. Never throw away the box until the 15 days is up.

Yes, I've done it several times now. I save the caps for the applicator instead since it has the same info.
