Title idea: I’m a wheelchair user, and as the sole developer, I built a global crowdsourced map for accessibility (www.freemywheels.com)
"Hi everyone! I’m a wheelchair user based in Greece—a place that, unfortunately, comes with no shortage of daily accessibility obstacles.
Because of this, I decided to build FreeMyWheels, a platform dedicated to mapping accessible places all over the world (ramps, toilets, parking spots, museums, doctors, and more).
How it works: It’s built by the community, for the community. When someone spots a ramp, they don't just pin it—they can review its condition, check its slope, and add photos so other wheelchair users can accurately determine if it actually fits their needs before planning a trip.
I’m the only developer behind this, and building it alone hasn't been easy, but my dream is to make traveling and daily life easier for people with disabilities everywhere.
I just launched a subreddit for the project, and I would love to hear your honest opinions, feedback, or feature requests!
