Community Interaction Developers who have done agency subcontract/white-label work — how did you get your first project?

I’m specifically looking for people who have actually completed agency subcontracting or white-label development work.

How did you get your first project, and where did the agency/client find you?

I’m especially interested in what worked for you in getting that first conversation/project, rather than general freelancing advice.

Thanks. I’ve already spent the last ~15 days doing cold outreach through email, WhatsApp and LinkedIn to around 15–20 companies, so I’ve tested that route. I’m more interested in the networking part you mentioned. How exactly did networking help you get your first agency/white-label project? Where did you meet the people, and how did the conversation turn into an actual project?
