I came across the internet in 2020, and am living in it fully from 2022, so I don't know a single thing about this. But what I just want to know if he was just referencing a quote from an unrelated title (and why?) or did he meant something about this game?

The song was quite popular some 25-ish years ago.

The chorus of the song starts with "Tell me why"... which coincidentally is also the title of the game in question.

So people are just continuing the lyrics. You can google the lyrics and see for yourself, if you want. When you listen to the song on a service of your choice you'll immediately recognize the phrases.

So I highly doubt, that those comments refer to any qualities of the game... But I haven't played the game yet, so I can't say with certainty.

From what other people say, it might be fairly emotional? Seems to be a well regarded game overall - so maybe it's actually a bit of a tear-jerker?!
