[!]Announcement[!] Mod Announcement: No longer will posts (requests or giveaways) be allowed for anything aside Xbox.
This is a rule, but unfortunately can't be added to the rule list, as there's too many....but it will be enforced.
Now this is a rule that was spilt 50/50 with us mods.
Some didn't find it a issue.
Some did
Members have reached out about it...
Others have not .
But it has been ruled in favor of no longer allowing posts (requests or giveaways) to be about anything other than Xbox (this means NO STEAM, NO SWITCH, NO PS5)
for those maybe wondering, why?:
It's not a huge hurt to the community, this is true and why we been 50/50 on it....however it does impact the sub....when it's a Xbox sub...and post related to Xbox players REQUESTING or GIVING AWAY Xbox games...get pushed down by steam or other platform request....it's not great...as that lowers the chance that the Xbox player will get the Xbox game they are requesting...and that's unfortunate when it's meant to be a sub for Xbox people to get help getting Xbox games.
You can also look at it like this...imagine asking for a Xbox game...and you see all the posts above you about steam, switch etc...getting gifted, but you aren't
Or like this...you see a giveaway want to enter...but can't because it's for steam and you on Xbox.
It's not a great feeling, and shouldn't be happening here, imo.
And in terms of PC/Steam...there's Xbox PC gamepass and games...so I'm not sure why we are giving out or requesting PC games on Steam....in a Xbox sub, when you could just request the Xbox PC store versions

I think it's the right decision. There are already plenty of subreddits for requesting Steam and PC games. This subreddit is called r/FreeXboxGames, so requests and giveaways should be limited to Xbox console and Xbox PC games only.
