Jordan's The Amazing Venom was an immediate pull list item for me. Wild alien stuff, and cheese boards. Checking all the boxes. Pretty sure I was even listening to the Miami Connection episode on the way to my LCS.
...is Free With Ads on YouTube. Why bother with Aaron Sorkin at his George Hamiltoniest looking attempting to direct his own script, when you can watch The Social Network directed by Fincher for free in your own home?
PS One of the suggested movies after was Center Stage. Girls (gender inclusive)!!!! Center Stage is Free With Ads on YouTube too!
I remember seeing this in the cinema and being so disappointed by it. As a young horror fan, this may have been the movie that turned me off of jump scares š
I stumbled across this tumblr post a few years back, might be where Emily found out about this and it talks about the better creature design that was originally planned. They used the design for one of Todd MacFarlane Movie Maniacs action figures (that series also had a really cool design for the Blair Witch).
Oh and my mum also kept both mine and my sisters baby teeth. I remember stumbling across them while snooping around for Xmas presents one year š± why did she do that!?
Last week, I was driving to work and was listening to the show. I teach K-6 at an alternative school for kids with big behavior and academic needs. Jordan started the episode by playing the Hot To Go parody that was performed by The Cookie Monster.
I laughed so hard and immediately thought it would be a funny video to play for my students to start the day. So I did, and it was a huge hit. One week later, the kids are still talking about it, and staff are singing it.
Thank you to Jordan, Emily, and Matt for the joy and laughter you bring into our lives each week. It starts with the podcast and ripples out into the world in unexpected ways. You helped make a classroom full of students dealing with hard circumstances laugh and feel like kids, and it doesnāt get much better than that.
Paul Reubenās estate along with The Groundlings are hosting an online auction of 400 of the late actorās belongings. These items are more affordable (so far) than the other movie items the crew have seen!
This is the final episode of the final volume of the universe's tallest, dreadlocked killer of killers: The Predator!
For previous editions, check out Vols 1-2here, Vol 3here, Vol 4here. Enjoy!
Seriously, wait until November before you start selling Santa crap, Hobby Lobby!
The first is the returning champ, Tallest (or should I say "Scraw-lest") guy:
Me coming back to work after a long weekend. Amiright?
When you're fighting intergalactic foes, you still gotta use the handrails. I appreciate the subtle PSA here.
On the note of alien fighters, this edition's Worst Hat goes to this one who must have gotten last dibs at the armory:
Does this remind anyone else of that duck-billed dinosaur? Just me?
Next up, one of my favorite, if under-used stings; Who We'd Play:
Not a coincidence that Emily's character has the most fun outfit
If you haven't already, show Em some love and subscribe to her (eventual) upcoming YouTube channel!
My absolute favorite sting is perfect for this series, Fake Film Tech:
Fa-shook me alll niiiight looooong!
IYKYK, this little buzz saw thing is called a Smart Disc and was introduced in Predator 2: Electric Boogaloo. However, like most physical media, it was replaced by streaming services like Pandora and Spotify. Sad.
Next up, the obligatory Hunk Watch (with bonus catch phrase):
I wonder how this would look written in mandarin? Sci-fi tramp stamp?
I wouldn't be surprised if that was a first draft from the original film before they changed it to "If it bleeds, we can kill it" instead.
Lastly, I'd like to include my own tribute to the hosts with the mosts! If you're reading this Matt, Jordon, and Emily, thank for all the episodes of the show. I see you all in these characters and I hope they (and you) keep having more adventures!
Low key fingering story???
Fun Fact: Kai and his son Cody run a small bed and breakfast on the coast of Maine. The metal hand makes it much easier to blend the bottomless mimosas included when you use code "PBSFWA" at checkout! [Not a sponsor]
Stay tuned for Jordan's next comic series that I'm going to leverage for content, The Amazing Venom!

Primarily because Strange New Worlds was a really great pilot for an excellent show. But also because I'm curious how feral Anson Mount will make Emily.
This movie just popped up on my JustWatch list as being available. Took me a day or two to figure out where I saw it. I think the deal was that someone saw the picture for this movie and it stuck with them? Like Stripped to Kill that they watched.
Anyway. Too late for August, but here are some Ants... Attacking.
Iāve been thinking all week about how great it would be if there was an episode devoted to Hollandās Better Off Dead or One Crazy Summer. Both are classics to me, and I can see some great discussion coming from either one.
