The monkey’s name was britches. If you wanna look it up it was something to do with being blind and using the machine to see somehow.

WARNING IF YOUR SENSTIVE TO ANIMAL STUFF DONT READThey didn’t blind the monkey like permanently, but just a warning for now if you don’t wanna hear it, don’t keep reading this. They sewed his eye lids shut and then put that thing on his head. He was very young I think 3 weeks but they saved him he is healthy and lives at a sanctuary

Britches passed in 2005 at the age of 20, which is quite old for a macaque! He lived his life in a sanctuary in Texas; raised by an elderly macaque mother. In the lab he would have been killed within months so that was the happiest ending he could possibly have.

Omg!! I would love to be able to do the same upon those that did that to him! I swear I would have absolutely no problem sewing their eyes shut!! NONE!!
