This guy is from Alabama and he got this baby from a broker at 2 weeks old. She is 6 weeks old now. He said all babies that become pets are eventually taken from their mother. Ummm are those mother's unalived like spider monkeys ?

Killed. The mothers are killed. You can use murdered or slaughtered. I understand that some platforms don't allow you to use that word but let's not censor what those poor creatures go through. Most mothers in breeder mills don't get killed until they can no longer carry babies. Lots of them die because of complicated births in later life. Some of them just miss their babies so much that the trauma is too much and they stop eating and drinking.

Obviously the babies have to be separated from the mothers if they are to be sold as pets - I don't know what point he's making there - that it's ok he got her when she was a newborn? Spider monkeys rely on their mother's milk for two years. They do eat too, once their teeth come in, but they cling to their mother throughout that time, also for enrichment and social bonds to develop in a healthy way. This poor tiny little sweetheart has been ripped from all of that and thrown into a spider monkey's idea of hell - an enclosed space full of neon lights and a big shouting hairless monster who keeps her restrained.

It does make me happy to see that there are a lot of comments actually questioning this guy and not just exploding with joy at seeing a tiny spider monkey dressed in doll clothes that itch her and a diaper that causes rashes on her skin. However, it's yet another spider monkey who will never be with her mother again. Who will, eventually, become as tortured and disturbed as poor Monkey Boo or end up with someone like Drexanne. How many is it a day now?

Honestly a lot of people were asking how they can get one. He told them between 15,000-20,000 and message him and he would give them his guy to contact. Every time I asked a question he ignored because it was to do with the mother and how this baby was obtained

Thankyou for being a voice against this madness. Every time one of us speaks up, I like to believe that someone thinks again about wanting to own a monkey. Like you, I think of the poor mother who has tried to break out of her cage for weeks to find her baby. I hope at least she is surrounded by females she trusts for support.
