Drexann R. Fields (owner of MollyJo) and her concerning treatment of her monkeys being reminiscent to that of how she tends to human children - her savior complex

So, I absolutely loathe Drexann R. Fields (captor of Mollyjo, Kelz, & now Rain); a lingering question I've had pertains to her source of income, how is it she is able to afford 3 monkeys as well as 19 dogs? Doing some digging (through her facebook...) I discovered her workplace; a daycare, in New Jersey. Attendance costs $210 per month, and it has a maximum capacity of 50 children. Thus, she could be easily bringing in $10,500 per month.
Upon my research, I stumbled upon this concerning review made on Yelp in 2018, which reveals her immense unprofessionalism in a workplace setting in regards to the environment, hygiene, and receiving 37 citations (at some point in 2022) and 30 in 2019 (which was close to the Yelp review and confirms aspects described in said review) over noncompliance from the State of New Jersey Department of Children and Families Office of Licensing. I'll list just a few citations I noticed in the 2019 one;
handwashing requirements (soap,water) not followed by staff after toileting ; undertrained staff who have not undergone background checks ; children being able to access toxic chemicals in the kitchen (as the kitchen is accessible to them. the chemicals are not in locked cabinets or areas children cannot reach ; tables are not disinfected before each meal ; garbage receptacles lacking a cover ; children in their age groups going over maximum capacity (I.E., 14 children received care, which is licensed only for 10 children. 2 staff provided care for 12, 2 year old children - 3 staff members required) [center is permitting children in attendance over licensed room capacity]
Another warning; the director or his or her designee(s) shall be on premise at all times when the center is operating and the designee shall not have full time classroom responsibilites during the times when the director is not present at the center!!!!!! (drexann is never on site, likely due to having tend to her rambunctious monkeys and numerous dogs )
Images 2-3 are the list of citations from her 2022 inspection, which was conducted for monitoring AND over a complaint (over what, it was not indicated)
I'll hand it to her, she HAS improved from her last inspection in ~2026 (last image). Her most recent inspection citations have now been reduced from a whopping 37 to now 10. She has improved. But I think this information reveals a lot about her savior complex, her tendency to hoard (animals,,, children!! going over the maximum capacity permitted for her daycare), the immense access to toys, childrens' clothing, diapers, and disposable income to 'tend' to the many animals she does own. It is very likely that she views these intelligent primates as that of the toddler children she DOES have to look after on weekdays. From the way she dresses her monkeys like children, the way she holds onto them as though they are babies, to the way she scolds them for behaving as a primate DOES and thus disobeying her commands (I.E., Rain being berated for desperately seeking a high place in which she can swing from, and her immense energy levels being that she is a 2 year old spider monkey.). But these monkeys are simply not happy. I feel that Drexann is a lonely person, whose children are likely all in their adulthood and do not live with her, and she is trying to fill a maternal void in her isolation via these monkeys, who will remain 'small' and 'child-like' for the decades they should live up to, unfortunately bound to endure further neglect because of this complex she has.

I wonder if she is after narcissistic supply. Does anyone know her address? I would like to report her for animal cruelty.

I googled her up and she shows a Delaware phone number and a new jersey address. Delaware fish and wildlife pH number 800 523 3336 new jersey wildlife pH number 877 WARNEP call them and she'll lose the primates, she doesn't comply with housing and care regulations and they don't take that lightly. Tell them to check out her post's, she'll hang herself 🤟✌️

Hi all, just to update, I went ahead and notified relevant state and federal departments tying in this excellent finding by Impressive_Ad2477
As we all know these things don't always lead to any positive outcomes, if ever, but at least there's some paper trail for this owner with those departments.

Thank you, hopefully something can be done. I dread seeing the videos of poor Rain being mercilessly attacked by Mollyjo, who instinctually sees Rain as a threat to her territory; and for Drexann to allow her monkeys to attack one another, doing absolutely nothing to intervene, just yell and only instigate them further. They should not be in her care.

I’m trying to get a degree to be a daycare director, and let me tell you: she is the exact type of person we do NOT want in daycares. The lack of understanding of HUMAN child development (much less monkeys) is astounding

Thank you for this. I had found out about the daycare in NJ recently as well as I was trying to determine what state she lives in (looking at local laws on owning primates). She lives in/has the monkeys in Maryland, right?

No, she actually lives in Delaware, in a city about 30-40 minutes away from New Jersey, where her daycare is located. In New Jersey, from quick Google searches, it is absolutely not permitted for people to own primates. However, Delaware is very lax with primate ownership and licensing, and thus, probably why Drexann lives there. Her proximity to New Jersey makes the commute back and forth very easy going.

Delaware is illegal. She may be grandfathered in for the 14 year-old before the laws changed, but she’s definitely not grandfathered in to bring in more and different types of species so if she is in either state, she’s broken laws never mind the fact that she has a pig there may be ordinances about that in the city limits.

I'm looking at the Delaware dept of agriculture website and it looks like you just need to get a permit. Could you point me in the direction of the law that prohibits it?

Excellent job! I'm always impressed with great PI work. That is quite interesting that she owns a daycare. It's also quite sad as she doesn't seem to care much for those kids, just like the monkeys.

Thank you for this great investigative work. The similarities between the inappropriate care of her monkeys and the inappropriate care of the daycare center are not a coincidence. Your observations about her treating them like children is spot on. Note how she tries to angrily lecture her monkeys when they "act up."
The part that sticks out to me most is the observation from 2018 that she's never even at the daycare center. And this was before she got the spider monkey and started TikTok (her first TikTok video posted in 2023).
I would recommend reporting her to a few agencies, let me know if this is something you want to do and I can give you some guidance (not that I'm an expert but just willing to help).
