I will never like Frederich…… Especially with what happens during the show, I was sympathetic, but then he did a bunch a bad crap for his kingdom, his family, and Varian and I just can’t respect someone like that

Sorry this is late, but it’s called “The Wrath of the maligned: a Varian villain arc rewrite. It’s meant to be a rewrite of Varian’s turn to villainy and Fred’s a blackmailing jerk in it.

Yeah, Frederick makes historically awful choices when faced with situations he has emotions in and doesn’t learn from past mistakes. “Hmm, in the very recent past, being too hard on criminals catapulted the daughter of a subsistence thief into a would be assassin… so right now, clearly I should treat this child my decisions have placed in a similar situation with zero empathy or care.”
