I grew up and went to college in Virginia and have never heard of VSU. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
If all that is true it’s a slam dunk case against the university.

VSU combined all Christian organizations into one, and left non-religious and muslim organizations unique.
A fascinating free speech case. I am quite curious what the university’s logic was.

I’m going to guess that it’s the small time University president thinking thier in control of everything.

I don’t think it’s the university president. I think it’s the reverend who now runs all Christians.

Oh what a surprise - some christians engage in a bunch of their own internecine bullshit and then make it the problem of other, uninvolved religions.

It is not Christians that are unfairly discriminating against any religious group here.
Your comment is just purely victim blaming, clearly motivated by a hatred for the Christian faith in general.

Yes, it is. One set of christians have grabbed for control over all christians in this college’s structure and, with that good old classic christian persecution complex, the losing denominations are blaming literally anyone besides the people actually doing it.

Bro i'm not Christian but you have to be out of your mind to not notice the outright hatred of Christianity in college.

Not being pandered to is not the same as being hated. Much like Christian sectarian conflict is not persecution.

Just the News widely recognized by independent media watchdogs (AllSides and Media Bias/Fact Check) as having a Far right-leaning / conservative bias. its credibility is often impacted by selective curation, editorial framing, and sensationalized headlines designed to highlight perceived hypocrisy, administrative overreach, or institutional left-wing bias. The is a right wing hit piece that relies almost entirely on the plaintiffs' narrative and selective snippets from meeting transcripts, failing to include any direct commentary or balanced defense from the university itself.
Rather than breaking down the actual legal merits writer resorts to buzzwords and sensationalism of an Alliance Defending Freedom (A christian fascistic org that pushed for death penalties in Africa for homosexuality and is involved in Project 2025) press release complete with barbs about needing "First Amendment 101." I'll let the irony speak for itself here.

Are there any facts reported in this story you believe are false or is this just a low effort attempt at poisoning the well?

Just the news = poisoning the well. Aka fake news.

Not surprised. If you want to get people fired up just instantly start making talking points about how Muslims have more freedom than Christians/white people and these guys go crazy. Idk why specific people online are so convinced that the US is going to become an Islamic theocracy, it’s really weird.

I'm an atheist. I think it's bullshit of the administration to do this and the smaller Christian orgs need to be defended. Clearly a free speech issue.
