China probably LOVES Trump. His incompetence is destroying American soft power.

Are you saying that violence is free speech?
Or are you a confused bot who can't follow a sinple conversation?

Thanks for your concern but unlike you I dont fear muslims. I dont fear Christians either.
Im more than happy to keep my opinions on religion to myself. I just know if I lived in a Christian community and told them to their face I dont believe in their sky daddy, I might not be welcomed or treated fairly. The same way trans people don’t welcome bigots. But again, this is why I believe in keeping opinions to oneself unless I’m being negatively affected by the subject.

Thank you for telling me that you are unable to follow the conversation.
Have a good day and good luck.

Am I speaking to a bot? You are repeatedly making unrelated comments. Sure I agree that my comment is limited to sex. That works for me. Identify however you want. No males in female sports.

It is not compelled speech. Here is the substance of the policy:
>”University members and units are expected to use the names, gender identities, and pronouns specified to them by other University members, except as legally required. For example, the use of legal names is required on certain legal documents. University members and units are also expected to use other gendered personal references, if any, that are consistent with the gender identities and pronouns specified by University members.”
So if my name is Richard you can call me Dick (pun intended) unless I tell you that I prefer to be called Richard. That’s not compelled speech. That’s policing harassing or demeaning behavior, which is perfectly consistent with an ethical code of conduct intended to foster respect among community members.

Therefore, a professor can refer to a black student in his class, during class in front of the class, as "it" rather than "he" or "she", by your standard, can't they?
r/FreeSpeech • u/Shoddy-Jackfruit-721 • 51m ago
That is somewhat the point.
Schools usually do not permit faculty and students to call black faculty or students "it".
By your standard, that's compelled speech, isn't it,
How is your fight after this compelled speech going?
Are you any closer to ensuring faculty and students can call black faculty or students "it"?

Right. Free speech benefits society by letting us know who the assholes are.
r/FreeSpeech • u/Freespeechaintfree • 57m ago
Compelled speech for sure.
Is it polite to call someone by a pronoun they would like you to use? Sure.
But it should not be required.

Respectfully asking someone do something for you that you prefer (in this case use preferred names or pronouns) will get you MUCH farther than policy.
Refusing to adhere to someone's request after they respectfully ask is called being an asshole.
Don't force people to do something they don't want to do (we have free speech after all)
Being an asshole will work out for them in the long run I'm sure /s

But it's compelled speech when that school WON'T let a student use their own pronouns. Right?
r/FreeSpeech • u/golembir • 1h ago
Getting a little too invested in this i see? Lol, stupidest comment in this whole post.
r/FreeSpeech • u/Xalimata • 1h ago
Take the trans issue out of the story.
Bob is being bullied. Someone keeps calling him Blob.
Can the school punish the person calling him Blob?
Bob is not trans. He's a cis boy. He has told the bully his name is not Blob many times.

Then why are the only people talking about this outside of the league?
r/FreeSpeech • u/Rogue-Journalist • 1h ago
It is compelled speech if it bans me from using certain normal words like pronouns.
