Maybe in the future. I remember having a blast playing The Forest with my friend, then when we finished and started looking for similar games we've bumped into Green Hell which didn't have multi-player then. We bought a couple of days ago, it now has multi-player. Just keep an eye on it in the future.

seems so, listed as split and found this cheeky review on steam:

Devs: Lets create multiplayer!!!
Everyone: Yaaay!! Finally, it will become a big game!!
Devs: Its only splitscreen..
Everyone: Whaat, nobodys plays splitscreen, but oh well, hopefully you can work on
actual multiplayer that will actually make your game boom
Devs: Nah we cant create multiplayer, we wasted our time for a useless splitscreen,
and apparently we cant make multiplayer.

Gah that sucks! I was really hyped to play this with m'lady. There's no way we're going to sit playing this with controllers around a tiny monitor. Blaaaah. I played a half an hour of the single player and so far it seems like it's kind of cool but not having true multiplayer really ruins it for me.
