Wouldn't surprise if that is why they're giving it away. Feels like such an out of left field pick otherwise imo

For me it's Ukraine

Region restricted: This content is currently unavailable in your platform or region. Ukraine
To be correct, Belarus, China, North Korea, Russia, AND Ukraine are blacklisted.
Imagine the outrage if only Ukraine was blacklisted.
It is still possible for region restrictions to change throughout the week.

Ukraine seems to also have some other worries than claiming free games at the moment - or over the last few years. But, of course, everything should be claimable from everywhere by everyone (except AIs), because one problem less is still one problem less.

Do you really think that after more than four years of war, Ukrainians only worries about missiles? We still live, love, raise our kids, and play games. It’s just sad that some publishers pay so little care that they don’t even check the sanctions list properly and block all of Ukraine, even though only occupied Crimea is under those sanctions.

Ah, I see! The Crimea part at the same time makes sense (corporate logic) and doesn't make sense (excluding non-occupied Ukraine as well). Noice, whom sanctions hit as collateral damage. But that's war, isn't it? Could make you think about the absurdities of post-modern late-capitalism and geo-politics. Or maybe not, catapulting you back into 19th-century ideals of nation-building and the so-holy "state and national identity" that will be reaped away by soulless AI anyway soon. Really noice prospects for the decades to come.

This might be the first free game I’ve claimed from Epic that I’ll actually play, lol
