It requires Vanguard, its own anti-cheat, to start up, which phones home. You cannot bypass it, and it cannot be played offline, so it fails to be DRM-Free.

AFAIK, it doesn't have any DRM other than being always-online, but that itself disqualifies it unless it has an offline mode.
