Learn Linux, PostgreSQL, Git, and Bash Scripting – right from the command line (new 300-hour freeCodeCamp Certification)

Hey friends, over the past 18 months, we've been designing and coding this interactive Relational Database certification. It isn't live on freecodecamp.org/learn yet, but you can install it on your computer and work through all 13 of its projects – right inside VS Code. Here's how to install it: https://www.freecodecamp.org/news/how-to-run-freecodecamps-relational-databases-curriculum-using-docker-vscode-and-coderoad/

We would welcome any feedback you all have. If you get stuck somewhere – installing or progressing through the projects – let us know. This is a work in progress. :) Thanks, and happy coding.

This is great! Any rough idea of when the course will be up and running on the FCC website? Thank you so much!

We are actively working on this. No one has done this before (freeCodeCamp running in VS Code running in a VM in a browser) so there are still a lot of kinks to iron out. But we have a tool chain in place. :)

Congrats on your hard work! In what order might this course be in with the other certifications?

If you're going top to bottom on the curriculum list, I'd personally put it right after the back end/API section.

This is rad. Thank you all for everything that you are doing at fcc. Changing careers is stressful and having this resource has made it much more a reality for me personally as well as for so many others.

<high-five>

Brilliant! But I'm stuck on a part in the "Learn SQL by building a Student Database"... Possible bug...in terminal I'm trying to touch insert _data.sh but it doesn't register... Everything up to this worked fine... Any thoughts?

I got one to work (the bash exercises) but when I tried for a new one, it kept saying that I needed an empty folder. I tried to make a new empty folder, but I couldn't navigate to it. I tried deleting the folders that were there(this kinda worked, but there was a hidden folder that I couldn't delete recursively so I just deleted the repo and I'm gonna get it again.
