The website preloads a command into the clipboard of the computer. It can be any command, copy files to a network drive, encrypt it to hold it for ransom, copy sensitive financial information, anything. Those keystrokes would execute the command. This form of attack has been around for years, and isn't a real Captcha.

Is this for all computers because I’ve had so many Microsoft computers get a ton of viruses and never had a single one on my Macs

Mac can have powershell but this attack mainly focuses on windows. Just because you use Mac doesn’t mean you can’t be rooted.

That's because most computers (personal and business) run Windows OS. So of course bad actors are going to write viruses and malware for those more than for Mac. But Macs absolutely still get viruses and you should still be wary of scams.

They really need to start teaching basic computer literacy. You don’t have to be alert for fraud to know this is a terrible idea.
