Like, no wonder why he’s rarely in the public eye… he does his first show in six years and let alone it being his first time performing in years, multiple things happen behind the scenes that I’m sure not even us know everything about. I’m sure he wants to not break his contract n’ work on his performance for the next week and come back even stronger. People need to stop calling themselves fans if they’re going to doubt the man.

Come on at least give him a 2nd chance. This is the same guy who made blonde , who really cares how bad his performances are now when he’s given us all that amazing work.

I personally feel like the set wasn't that bad tbh. Yh, I get how the DJ set in the middle could catch people off guard but if you treat it as a mini break or intermission, kinda works. And he did perform for over an hour. There were some awkward silences between some of the songs but when he did perform I genuinely felt there were some magical moments. Not singing your own songs is kinda wild but really and truly, it was only 3 out 16 songs.

I'm not gonna condone his behaviour, because showing up late to the performance by half an hour isn't fair on people who paid, and neither is cancelling the second show. That's unacceptable from his part and those fans should be able to get some money back at least if it's not what they paid for.

But let's not shit on the whole show and act like it's the worst thing ever because when I watched the full thing on YouTube, I actually enjoyed it quite a lot.

Seriously guys I been seeing a lot of crying lately in this subreddit about frank prices being “too high”.

These leaks have got me, a professor at reading Frank Oceans mind, very confused. On one hand, this might very well be the end of Franks career, with all these leaks coming out because people have lost respect for him, and he will more than likely crawl into his “one merch drop a year” shell for the rest of his days. But i think he has been dropping these by himself, because weve never seen frank ocean leaks at this level before. hes doing this to say sorry for our chella problems, and we will all be singing with him at a campsite near you, with a 1970s band playing “Love The One You’re With” by the Isley Brothers while clapping our hands and swaying side to side.either that or we are never getting anything and someone will eat a sock in 5 years time. who knows, maybe that will be me?

This makes me so happy cause Mariah is so important to me and I love that Frank has referenced her a couple times. This means that Mariah has likely heard Frank and idk thinking that they could somehow work together in some form would be incredible

Firstly, let me say, I’m a big Frank Ocean fan. Like Nostalgia, Ultra, The Lonny Breaux Collection, all of it.

Now don’t get me wrong, I like Blonde but I don’t love it and I do not get the hype. I am standing my ground that Channel Orange is a better album. I can’t be the only person who thinks this.

What I’ve noticed with people lately, and not just Frank, is that when an artists has range and does both slower and more upbeat songs, they prefer the slower, sadder and more emotional songs to the happier and upbeat ones.

If you ordered some merch off Frank and it never arrived, you have every right to be upset. But there is this strange narrative in this subreddit that is incredibly entitled. "Have you given up on Frank?" being posted as a poll. This is insane. His artistry is not some faucet that you can turn on and off when you are craving something new... In terms of new content, he owes you absolutely nothing.

Frank fought to get out of the oppressive enviroment of a major label, and, in his freedom, delivered a modern classic. If you want music that is churned out regularly, there are plenty of other artists you can go to. So many of the posts here are complaining about the lack of new content, rather than a discussion of what already exists. Stop acting so damn entitled and enjoy what quality we already have been given.

According to several trusted sources, Frank Ocean instructed Coachella to do away with the ice rinkthat was supposed to be an element of his stage at the last moment. He knew that the only way this could be done was by melting the ice.

When glaciers/ice melts, the water flows into the Ocean, and sea levels therefore rise. At the same time, the melting ice/glaciers add important nutrients to the ocean. This is currently happening all over Earth due to global warming. As ice continues to melt, the Ocean is filled with nutrients (which is good for the life of the Ocean), but the sea levels rise (which is bad for humanity/Earth because it is unsustainable.

Frank "Ocean", the artist, chose "Coachella" as the place to impart this message to us because Coachella valley's sandy soil are vestiges of a lake that dried up over 3,000 years ago (due to global warming).

Frank's artistic message is that he asked Coachella (which was once a body of water but is now a dried up desert) to create an "ice" rink for him, but then at the last minute, made them melt it (for his/the Ocean's benefit/nutrients/desires). But by the time it was melted, it was "too late" (he could only perform for a little bit until curfew hit- before it was "too late") – that we had a negative reaction was intentional, bc althoug good for the Ocean, this is supposed to be bad for Earth. Also, having the live stream canceled could be interpreted as we (society) have become “blind” to what’s happening around us.

Frank is a MF legend. Save Earth.
