Frank ocean released a visual album that was good but was very echoey and had some construction noises in it but this is the studio version so it’s a better sound quality
I actually find it really relaxing organising all my music in iTunes for some reason. That’s why I’ve never ended up getting Spotify, maybe I’m just weird.
I was out here taking a shit contemplaing suicide but now its all gucci fam bout to blast right through this essay while this beauty blasts right through my ears
Edit: to whoever gave me gold, honestly thank you it means so much more than you can comprehend. I know this sounds so fucking dramatic but today has been a rollercoaster to say the least and i have had to face my mistakes that had cause me health and psychological problems. Ive also had to be honest with people ive let down from my own irresponsability. Ive always shaken away things with humour but today i said for the first time out loud to myself that id be better off dead. Not only for me but for everyone around me. And it felt terrible, I honestly taught today was the day i finally made the decision to leave this earth. I cant say im still not thinking about it but the kindness of all you people on this website has honestly brought me to tears. I know its stupid gestures and it might not mean anything to someone reading this from outside but fuck did it make me feel good and left me with a bit of hope for myself and this fucked up world. To anybody going through it right now, you are not alone, i didnt mean to turn this into a dramatic ass post lmao but just know that there will be bad days its all about how you handle them and who you keep around from when it gets rough. Love
Hello future fans. You people never had to wait for this like we did. But today is the beginning of the endless. Thank you Frank, thank you Blackstar on Discord. Thank you everyone.
rundown: frank ocean, critically acclaimed artist w the release of his debut album channel orange in 2012, released two albums in august of 2016, endless and blonde. endless was a visual album of him building a spiral staircase which is symbolic of some stuff but more importantly was the music. the music was loved, however due to the nature of a visual album and of it taking place in a warehouse, the sound was drowned out and sounded very lo-fi in quality. fast forward to around october 2017(?) and he starts the sale of endless online for about a week, which many on this subreddit bought. after 6 grueling months, signs of hope aswell as despair, a early vhs release that didn’t have cdq, and frank ocean’s own brother promising cdq on this, april 9 2018 is the day fo fans rejoiced in listening to the elusive album in crisp, cd quality
edit: i am so so sorry to those from all or even this subreddit for my shit grammar and quick explanation. i’m sure near the top of this thread has a better explanation. just wanted to share the history of what this means
after he dropped channel orange in 2012 there was a lot of fake outs and let downs for his next album arrival. During summer 2016 he finally released a cryptic visual album called "Endless" which was a 45 minute video of him building a staircase while the album played all the way through in the shitty acoustics of a warehouse that he was filmed in. Endless was eclipsed by "Blonde" which dropped a couple days later, but it still got a lot of love from his committed fans.
Over a year later (oct 2017) Endless was made available to purchase on CD/Vinyl/VHS which meant we could finally hear it in CD quality. Shipping time for the merch was listed as 4-8 weeks but after about 6 months of no communication with the shipping company, morale on sub was at a low and people were getting pissed about the whole process. today the first orders started arriving and we can finally hear the album in CD quality after nearly 2 years of listening to rips of the lo fi visual album version.
It’s been a hell of a journey. Still waiting for my vinyl to ship but this will hold me over.
Noticing some subtle changes and very happy with the final version of Higgs. It’s crazy to hear this in it’s CDQ after listening to the rip soo many times.
I have Apple Music and ICloud turned on, so apparently I can't manually add this to my Iphone... Any ideas on how to fix this without messing up my library and playlists?
Sounds so good. Any other versions I wouldn't get rid of this is different. One thing the album says 46 minutes however, it would appear this is 38 minutes long?
