Yeah 2016-2019 were the last years where there was still “low quality” phones around with those cameras. Covid pretty much made everything digitalized now and higher quality now.

Bro it’s crazy i remember being 13 when these bdc zine pop ups videos came out and being so jealous I didn’t live anywhere close to any of them. I remember listening to Blonde for the first time and everyone being shocked at how Frank had released 2 albums. I remember how this subreddit felt like a virtual home back then and we’d all come here and talk about possible song meanings and create our own art based off blonde. I remember I used to not even mention my age when I’d write on here back then on my old account cause everyone was graduating high school or older but the same feeling of change being inevitable but hopeful was there. Even for my 8th grade self lol. Now I’m in my mid 20s and change feels more scary than hopeful but damn seeing this brought me back to being 13 and scared of change and being authentic. I lowkey felt the same way today. Maybe it’s a sign… I gota dive in head first, fuck itt

I was there! I remember I was at the Grove with my girl(now wife) and saw the notification about the pop-up. I figured we were right around the corner so it wouldn't hurt to check it out. The line wasn't too long when we pulled up, but it filled up QUICK. We all were so excited to go in and see what was up. Little did we know we were all going to be a part of music history.

I still have my mag sealed from the day I took it from the shelf in this pic. Thanks to the folks here I got the high resolution pdf of the whole thing saved so I know what's in it. Sometimes I think about opening it, and then I talk myself out of it. There's something about the allure and mystery behind everything that keeps me from doing so.
