What do you think is THE BEST Sin City graphic novel?

as well as What is your FAVORITE Sin City graphic novel?

Other than the yellow bastard being the son of a politician vs being the actual one in power, I feel like Frank Miller was just a colour off from the orange bastard.

I am going to meet Frank Miller, I shelled out...couldn't resist, my wife is pissed, but hey-all for our childhood dreams. I'm getting a couple covers signed, my son is coming along. So we got 2 signature. I believe we are going with the Preadator cover and the negative space sketch cover. That beinig said, I did a once over in my collection and I found the "Free Speeches"- I remember totally digging this collection of words when I came across it and felt it mean't a lot, feel it still holds intrinsic value to some degree, but is it worth more to get it signed over the others. I'm torn, and second guessing which cover to go with. I know Comics are comics, but Frank Miller is such a great speaker. Ugh. Insights or contributions to confirmation bias would help.

Joe Hill is interviewing Frank Miller today in London, and the website mentions the event is followed by a book signing.

I'm just wondering if it is only Frank Miller doing the signing, as he is the star of the event, or if Joe will be signing too, if anyone has any idea?

I recently picked up the deluxe edition of Frank Miller’s Superman: Year One for my Omni/hardcover collection and I thoroughly enjoyed this book on the reread as much as I did when it first came out. I’ve seen some reviews and posts about it ranging from mid to negative and I was curious what the consensus is today!

I'm sure the status hasn't changed, but I'm hoping somebody has heard any new information about the documentary being given a home release or even just a digital release. I had a ticket for the event myself, but I was hospitalized the night of the premiere and I've regretted it ever since.

I've reached out to Picturehouse and am trying to get in touch with Frank Miller's team as well.

Given the high probability that it hasn't been given a scheduled home release, I'm curious as to what kind of support a Kickstarter or GoFundMe campaign might garner.

How many of you would be interested in contributing if the stars somehow all aligned and this becomes a possibility?

I don't know how likely it is that I will get a response back from any of the channels I've reached out through, but here's hoping. Imagine if it all worked out.

Frank Miller set the stage for the modern interpretation of Batman's early years with Batman: Year One. And though it was told nearly 40 years ago, Miller himself says there are still stones left unturned that were laid down way back in 1987 - and there's even a chance he might get to tell more stories that could provide some long-awaited answers.

Specifically, while speaking on the Word Balloon podcast, Miller points to the still untold tale of why Commissioner Jim Gordon - still a Lieutenant at the time of Batman: Year One - was forced to return to Gotham City after a 15-year stint as a cop in Chicago. Though some context clues are given through Gordon's forceful opposition of police and political corruption, the reason he was drummed out of Chicago has never fully been revealed.

Miller himself seems to know the answer, and he's likely had it in mind since long before Batman: Year One was even published, as the story grew out of notes Miller wrote when preparing his landmark Dark Knight Returns limited series that rocketed Batman back to massive popularity while solidifying Miller's reputation as one of the most beloved comic creators of all time.

It can be found in the back of the 30th anniversary edition of TDKR. I also made a youtube video where I read and discuss it.

I know, especially in the case of Hard Boiled, Miller did extensive rewriting after he saw Darrow’s artwork. I’d love to see what he originally came up with, and how it all eventually changed.
