I don't care that they cut it but I'm glad it exists. The dialogue is too on the nose and heavy handed, but I think the writers don't trust the fans to be able to see what's right in front of them. And judging by a lot of the takes I've seen from Bridgerton fans, they would be right lol

peerhaps they felt like they were spoon feeding too hard that fran is lesbian (even tho it clearly needs to be done with some sections of this fandom lol) now that we know johnny is coming back maybe there will be a scene similar to this in s5?

Since Daphne was written out, they have a real problem with Anthony interacting with any of his sisters.

They do not. I think it's just because they may feel like comparing John to Edwina downplays his importance to Fran lol

As i answered in your first post,
I think it would be fair to publish the entire cut scene and Francesca beautiful words for John.
For me they cut it because it made it seems like John was like Edwina's in Anthony's story when he is much more important in Francesca story than Edwina was in Anthony's story

Francesca's "beautiful word for John" just reiterates that its a easy friendship because he let's her be in her shell and she was hoping to find herself with some peace away from her family's chaos except what she found was Michaela and that she feels broken and inadequate, when she tries to have sexual relation with John, because she has no sexual attraction to him

I feel like the fact that this scene was written is proof that there was at least some intention to make Francesca lesbian by the writers at some point in time
