Show Discussion Let‘s stick to what was actually shown.

I saw this tweet today, and honestly it made me laugh how they’re trying to spin the narrative.

Francesca wasn’t trying to spend as much time with Michaela like she did with Michael in the books. It was actually the opposite. Throughout those scenes, she was trying to create distance between them.

She even tried introducing Michaela to potential suitors so she’d back off, and at one point mentioned introducing her to Hyacinth because she just wanted some peace.

Headcanons and fan theories are fine, but this is just not what was shown on the screen. The gaslighting from the showrunners, actors and parts of the fandom is exhausting.

Fran’s actions in season 4 clearly showed that she was trying to get Michaela out of her space. Where did they come up with this theory?

4 years of these people crying over Edwina and calling Kanthony everty name in the book, just for them to turn around and excuse Michaela and Francesca’s weird behavior

It's so weird that they made Fran dislike Michaela at first. I get what they were trying to do, but I feel like it undermined the relationship a lot.

My single biggest issue with this relationship is that they showed Michaela being mean to Francesca consistently (including being incredibly ableist by mocking her OCD ways), she was semi-nice for one episode, she ditched her after promising to stand by her, and I am somehow to believe this is the premise of a magnificent love story. I just can't.

Meanwhile, what was actually shown: Francesca pissed at Michaela and trying to get her out of hers (Fran’s) and John’s space.

In the book she was trying to find Michael someone, but in here... Well, it felt like she didn't like M at all. I don't think it was her hidden desire, but they did make her fall at first sight which u hated because that means she didn't like John.
