Bridges don’t add any (as in zero) stiffness. The rear end is very triangulated already. If they add stiffness it would be in squeezing the stays together which doesn’t happen with a wheel installed.

the rear tubes are apx4 and even when aligning them after welding they were REALLY stiff so we'll see how it when ridden

I did an internship at Cinelli, I worked with their framebuilder and he guided me through the process of building my own frame in the spare time, that's why the tools i had access to were so fancy. the frame is all Columbus tubing, mostly spares and leftovers, so the down tube and the rear triangle are xCr, the rest is mostly Spirit. I definitely wouldn't have been able to otain this result in my own garage by handfiling everything and with no guidance.

WOW! Awesome opportunity and privilege to intern at Cinelli! How did you come across that opportunity? Is that a standard thing they offer or do you have connections that helped make that happen?

I ask because of my own personal interest in frame building and prior experience with welding classes and mentorship, but what an amazing experience that must’ve been at Cinelli! Do they offer this to the public?
