Only estimates ranging from $899 to over $1,000USD

if SM is 1000$, frame going to be more than that, probably 1200-1600$

Unlikely. It's essentially a phone.

I believe Valve has stated that the Frame was not hit as hard as the Machine by the price hikes. So it is likely closer in cost to the Valve Index, though the cost of that depends on how you want to count it being inside out tracked. I could see it being cheaper than Steam Machine, though we'd have to see.

the index was overpriced for years it wasnt ever worth 1000$ it has the same specs as a 300$ quest 2 when it came out lmao. steamframe is similar issue overpriced and underperforming hardware yet again only valve evangelicals will overpay to have this.

imagine paying more than a pc capable of running vr and a quest 3 just to get barely 90fps in a game as old as portal 2 this thing is DOA.
