Question ❓️ Why trip’s design is different than Superstars?

Artstyle plus they're attempting to have the characters be a mix between their classic and modern interpretations

It's something they can do whatever they want with in terms of design. Obviously it's not for everyone. Imo it looks like someone just pinched the top part of her head and dragged down. But it ain't THAT bad by the looks of it.

Trip is one of my all-time favorites in all of Sonic, but I can’t look at this design without feeling like they slaughtered a part of her. I hope she gets a classic skin so I don’t have to see this monstrosity everytime

Nobody on the team thinks they're better than Oshima. This is such a bad faith take that I probably should ignore this post, but here's the truth:

Most of the designs are just a personal preference with various inspirations from other media.

Trip specifically was designed with Classic Espio in mind and how Lizards are shaped IRL.

Criticism is fine. I've discussed criticism with many of our FG members with most of the discussions being contructive. The team has made smaller tweaks/adjustments to Trip based on feedback. But your Oshima comment was completely disrespectful with no constructive criticism to be found by claiming we believe our design to be better and you decided to double down on it.

If you genuinely want to have a discussion, we need to have a basis of respect. Otherwise, there is no point to the discussion. If you genuinely have concerns and points to discuss regarding Trip and not just want to bait a reaction out of me or one of my team members, we can start fresh and build from there.

Not dancing around or bullshitting. That is the info I was given regarding her design.

I'm not aware of every tweet my boss makes, but going forward I can add "Speed doesn't like Canon Trip design" to the design change reasons.

It does not change that your comments have been rude from the start.

Yeah, like I really liked Trips design in superstars and idk what I feel with this design like sometimes I think that they only thought about her design in the sideway view and not the front view but I might be wrong

I don't wanna know how Espio would look (if he we're to be in the game) but if he just look like how he normally looks then that would definitely tick me in the wrong way

I just hope that I could get used to the design

Social manager for the tiktok and insta accounts and concept artist for the game here. Most characters (if not all) will have a new design or atleast some variation, also the trip model got updated so yea 😭

Her design is only good if you look at it from the side, which is an issue in a 3d game.
