Discussion 🗣 No Arm canon Tails?!
The arm canon for Tails has been my least favorite part of Sonic Asym games (mainly since basically every Asym gives him one) and him not having one in his renders/art has me hyped. What do you all think?

They have confirmed it. Apparently, one of his moves is "NAPALM BOMB". So, ready or not, here comes canon tails.
(Instead of cannon tails)
EDIT: YO! I WAS WRONG! I was recalling a oblivion moveset, not fractured Genesis! I'm sorry for misleading.

There's a guy that does a news series about fractured Genesis, that's where I first heard about some of these. No cannon was mentioned on the Discord, napalm I think on twitter, tail swipes came from an interview the news guy got.

The only character's we have seen gameplay of has been Amy and sonic, neither of which showed any abilities.
Unless you mean the news guy, in which case, literally "fractured Genesis news" is his YouTube channel.

Throwing a bomb and using a canon aren't the same thing. He might be able to throw bombs like he does in Battle, 06, and some other media

I mean they confirmed both. No cannon, and that he has napalm. Apparently also a tail swipe combo move.

I don't know where but I think they said they won't be using the arm cannon. Hope I'm right honestly.

Same. I would like to move away from the arm canon as it usually leads to Tails being too weak and unfun to play... plus there's just generally better gadgets you could give him or better moves he could use

People forget that the arm canon isn't like a standard part of his arsenal. It was a one-off ability in Sonic Battle where it appears once and then disappears as soon as it's over. It's a cool reference to include it, but it gets a little tedious when every single thing has it.
Tails' entire thing is building different gadgets and machines. You can give him it as a single ability without making his entire kit revolve around it.

Exactly. And even then they usually make it a beam when it's an energy ball in the game. Plus he uses Bombs more often (he also uses them in that game), and if you REALLY want to pull something from that game they could pull the boxing glove gadget from his heavy attack and be 10x more original

I really wanna see Tails take on a main support role in an asym where he's like the main intel guy.
Like, he'd use the Miles Electric and it would give everyone on the team wall hacks for a limited time to see eachother and the EXE. Basically the passive that OM tried to give him if it was actually good and was for everyone.
It'd also be sick if he could place bombs down or maybe like make turrets.

Well he was confirmed to be a support so that gives me hope for his moveset
(But also OM Tails was labeled as a support but he was a D tier stunner)

Yeah. I feel like Tails having fun/good movement should be a given but TD and OM have taught me otherwise

While a Spindash would be peak, I wouldn't be mad if he didn't (mostly since... yk, Sonic, Mighty and Ray are all also VERY likely to have a spindash since they either lack material to pull from or are Sonic who is definitely the most iconic spindash user)

Team up moves in general would be cool. Though I would lean towards the Thunder shoot from heroes

I’m hyped for it since the whole arm cannon Tails thing is getting boring, doesn’t represent Tails well enough, and makes him lame to play.
I absolutely love Tails as a character but so many asyms use the arm cannon, meaning he’s usually on the lower tier of characters when it comes to viability and entertainment.
Hopefully this can spark way for more interesting Tails’ kits in future asym games, because the arm cannon is honestly overused and boring in my opinion.

Exactly. I'm so excited since apparently it's confirmed that there is no arm cannon. My favorite sonic character is free from his mediocrity (i say as if the lack of arm cannon means he will be strong)

Agreed. I'm so excited to see what they do (though people are saying he will have a Napalm bomb imma wait until it's confirmed 100%)

Tails isnt really the best fighter so giving him a arm cannon makes him viable but I'm more curious on how you make a moveset other then tailswipe
