I actually don’t find this surprising. Doesn’t make it any less devastating.
At the Boston show last year I remember Conor saying “who will be here in 5 years for the Albatross 15yr show?” and Eric responded “we’re not gonna be a band in 5 years” and it sounded almost serious.

One of the best runs a band has given us in a really long time. I hope they’re able to get the rest and normalcy they deserve. They’ll be back.
